User's Guide
The printer enters pause status if this is pressed
while printing. To release the pause status, press the
W button again, or select Pause Cancel on the
screen and then press the Z button. To cancel
print jobs being processed, select Job Cancel on the
screen and then press the Z button.
Pressing this button when menus are displayed
closes the menus and returns the printer to ready
status.

] button (light button)
Press when the internal light is on to turn off the
light.
Press when the internal light is off to turn on the
light.
However, when you press the button during an
operation that does not allow the light to turn on,
the light remains off.

Messages
Displays the printer's status, operation, and error
messages.

Heater temperature
The thermometer icons give a rough indication of
the current temperatures of the heaters.
: The heater has reached the selected
temperature.
: The heater has not reached the selected
temperature.

Feed adjustment information during printing
This information is displayed when the adjustment
value is specified during printing.

Media info
This shows information related to the media, as
shown below.

Estimated amount of ink and chip unit status
The estimated amount of ink and the status of the
chip unit that is mounted on the printer are dis-
played.
The display changes, as shown below, if a warning
or error occurs.

This is the setting number for the
media that is selected.
The values for the platen gap are
indicated by their positions on the
icon, as shown below.
: 1.6,
: 2.0,
This is the width of the media that is
loaded.
When
: The remaining amount of
media (length of the remaining roll
media) is displayed in increments of
0.1 m.
When
: The print length per job is
displayed in increments of 1 m.
Change displays via Screen Display in
the settings menu.
If you set Length in Media
Remaining to Off, the remaining
media is not displayed.
