Mopar Front Whee l Bearing Grease (High Temperature) is a
grease of thi s type and is recommended. Use ofa bearing packer is
recommended. A small amount of new grease shou ld a lso be added

At 24 month s o r 30.000 miles and then every 12 mon ths or 15.000
miles thereafter the system should be drained. flushed and refi lled.
If the solution is dirty o r ru sty and contains a co nsiderab le amollnt
of sediment. clea n a nd fl ush wi th a re liable cooling system cleaner.
Follow with a tho rough rinsing to remove all depos its a nd c hemi

cals. Discard old anti-freeze solut ion.
Refill system with a minimum of 50% sol ution of ethylene glycol
ant i-freeze coolant in watcr. Higher co ncentrat ions (not to exceed
70%) are required if temperatures be low - 34°F. a re an tic ipated.
Use only anti-freeze coolants formulated to prevent co rrosion of all
cooling system metals. Mopar ant i-freeze (Part No. 2932530 qu arts
or 2932531 gallons is recommended). Do not use plai n water alone
or alcohol base a nti-freeze products. Theaddit ion of4 oz. of Mopar
62 Rust Res istor. PIN 2421778. is also recommended.
To Drain System - Open radiator drain cock and remove the drain
plugs in the sides of the cylinder bloc k. Remove the rad iator cap
on ly after the reserve lank is emptied.
To Refill System - C lose the dnlin coc k and re-insta ll dra in plugs.
Add coolant to the radiator until it is completely filled. Re-in stall
radiator cap. Start engine and run until the uppe r radiator hose feel s
hOI. SlOp eng ine a nd add more coolanl to the radiator if necessa ry .
Add coolant
to
the reserve tank unt il filled to the I quart ma rk.
Radiator Cap - The radiator cap mllst be fully tightened to prevent
loss of coola nt a nd e ngin e damage.
Usc caution in removing the radiator cap to a\'oid contact with hot
coolant or steam. Place a cloth over the cap, turn left to first stop,
pause to allow an}' pressure to release through the overnow tube, then
press down and turn left to remove cap.
