To
Drain System
-
Open radiator drain
cock
and
remove the
drain
plugs
in
the
sides
of
the cylinder
bloc
k. Remove
the rad iator
cap
on ly
after the
reserve lank
is
emptied.
To Refill System
- C lose
the dnlin
coc
k and
re-insta
ll
dra in
plugs.
Add
coolant to the radiator until it
is
completely
filled. Re-in stall
radiator
cap. Start engine and
run
until the
uppe
r
radiator hose
feel
s
hOI. SlOp eng
ine a
nd
add more coolanl
to
the radiator
if
necessa
ry
.
Add coolant
to
the reserve
tank
unt il
filled to the
I
quart ma rk.
Radiator
Cap -
The
radiator cap mllst be
fully tightened
to prevent
loss of coola
nt
a
nd
e
ngin
e
damage.
Usc
caution in removing the radiator cap to a\'oid contact with hot
coolant or steam. Place a cloth
over
the cap, turn
left
to first stop,
pause to allow
an}'
pressure to release through the overnow tube, then
press down
and
turn
left
to
remove cap.
