Position

car on as level and

surface

possible. Shut
off engine, set
parking
brake and
place
the transmi

the
spare whee
l,
jack, base and
wrench
.
Block wheel
diagonally opposite
the
one
to be removed. (A w
heel
choc
k
or
brick
can
be
ca rried in
the trunk for thi
s purpose).
4. As

mble
jack a
nd
basco
position the
hook
in bumper slot
as
s
hown
o
n
the
label.
Base mus

angled away
from
car

lumn
will straighten
when
car
is
lifted.

Do
not raise
tire
off
road surface.

Pry off whee

by inserting

t
end

wrenc

opposite
va lve
stem
and
twi sting
wrench.
Loose
n
the whee
l
nut
s
by
turning
counterclockwisc
.
but do
no
t
rcmove.
7. Operate jack
and
raise so tire
just dea
rs s
urface.
(Minim
um
tire
lift
provides
maximum
ca
r
stability).
Use
a slow smoo
th
pumping
moti on
and a
firm
grip
on
wheel
wrench when operat ing
jack.
8. Remove
whee
l nut
s.
pull
wheel
off
hub
,
instal
l
s
pa
re and
lightly
tighten nuts.
Set
finger
co
ntrol for
"
Down"
position
and "pump"
to lower
to ground.
Do not
roll
ca
r
olT jack.
9.
F
INISH
T IGHTEN
IN
G
NUTS. ALTERNATING
EVERY
OTHER
NUT UNTIL EVERY
NUT HAS BEEN
TIGHT-
ENED
TWI
CE.
10. Put
wheel cover
in
place
and
hit
s
harply with a
rub
ber
mallet
or
the heel
of you
r
hand in
area op posite
valve
s
tem. Remove block
from wheel.

wrench securel

trunk
using the jack
base a
nd tic-down nut. A loose tire
o
r
jack in the
trunk if thrown forwa rd in
a
collis io
n
cou ld

nd
anger
the passe

rs.
Volare models

The chrome plate

temporalily stowed in
the
whee
l
well
by
removing the hold down
bolt.

wheel replaced

ured
with
the hold down bolt.
12. Adju st inflation

Tire Rotation
All tire

hould
be rotated a
t
least every
10,000
mi
les
and
s
hould
be
in correct
ba
lan
ce to
obtain
the most uniform
trea
d wear.
Tire
inspection
at
every
oi
l
change
is re
co
mmended. If
irregu
la
r
tread
wear
has
deve loped.
