Doorgate Window Lock
T he dOOl"gate can be opened and close d as a door with the glass
ra ised. Whe n lIsing as a ta il galc a lways be sure the glass remains
lowered.
A sw itch on the instrument pane l, (optional on Fury). all ows you to
raise o r lowerthe window from the front seat. The door can a lso be
unlocked and the window lowered from the outside by a key-
operated switch on the doorgate. Use the ignition key to operate
lock swi tch.

Carbon Monoxide Warning
As a precaution against carbon monox ide fumes en tering the ve hi -
cle, the doorgate window sho uld be closed whe neve r the ve hi cle is
in motion o r slopped for any ex tend ed period of time with the
engi ne ru nning. If it is necessa ry to operate the veh icle with the
doorgate window ope n, in order to carry lo ng objects which prot-
rude from the vehicle. the follow ing precautions should be ob-
served .
• Close a ll ot her windows .
• Adjust heating o r cooling syste m to force outside a ir into ca r with
blower se t at high speed a nd controls set in a ny pos ition exce pt
"Off" or "Max

/C". O r brin g outside air in to the car through
th e fresh ai r venti lati on sys tem (See Page 25).
Note : IF PASSENGERS ARE RIDING INTHE REAR AREA THE
REAR WINDOW SHOULD BE FULLY CLOSED AT ALL TIMES.

To Open Doorgate
The lockable, exterio r door ha ndle can be used to ope n the door-
gate as a door regardless of the window posit ion. T he inside door-
gate ha ndl e will allow you 10 open the doorgate as a door o r lowe r il
as a gate lJl1de r the follow ing cond it ions:
