Outlets
The
outlets can
be
adjusted
to direct
air
to
any
desired
area
by
rotating the
barrel or by
moving
the
vanes.
In
addition
the
outlets
can
be
shut off
by moving
the vanes
to
the completely closed
pos it
ion
.

On Gran Fury

the
handle
decreases the
amount
of
floor

Operating Tips
Fa st Cooldown
For a fast coo ldown, use
the
A le posit ion and
dr
ive the car with the
window
s
down for
the
firs
t
few minute
s. Once
the
hot air
has
been
expe
ll
ed
from the
car
inter
ior, close
the
windows and use Max.

switch back
to Ale and

ust the
temperature contro

lever and fan speed as

sary to
maintain
comfort.
Window Fogging

ide. To clear the
fog
off a
ll
the
windows
use the A

ion
.
Adjust the temperature
contro
l
lever
and
fan
speed
to
maintain
comfort.
I nteriorfogging
on
the
windshie
ld
can be quickly
removed
by
us
ing
the Defrost
posit ion.
Summer Operation
Air conditioned cars
must
be protected with a high -qual ity anti-
freeze
coolant
during
s
ummer to prevent
the
heater
core
from
freezing. The
anti-freeze coo lant
is
also
required to provide
proper
corros ion pro tect ion and
to
raise
the boil
ing
point
for protection
against overheati ng. A
50%
co ncentration
is
recommended.
When us ing
the air conditioner
in
extreme ly
heavy traffic in hot
weather,
especially when towing a
trailer.

engine cooling
may
be
requ ired.
If th

ation is encountered. operate the
transmission in
a lower gear.
When stopped in heavy
traffic it
may
be
necessary
to shift
into neu
tral and depres

Winter Operation
When
operating
the

ystem duri ng
the
winter months. make sure
the air
in
take. which
is
located directly in
front of
the
wind
shie ld. is
free of ice. slush. snow or other obstruc
ti
ons.
