03. Pivot handle C of ash box D
downwards.
04. Pull out ash box D as far as possi-
ble.
05. Lift front ash container E from the
ash box and seal with cover F.
06. Pull rear ash container G forward
in the ash box, remove lid H and
seal ash container for transport with
cover K.
07. Empty both ash containers.
08. Check gasket in cover H for possi-
ble damage and replace if
required.
Note
If necessary the ash box can be
raised completely out of its guide
rails for cleaning purposes.
09. Remove cover K from rear ash
container and place cover H on the
ash container.

Checking the diaphragm expansion vessel and system pressure

Note
Carry out this test on a cold system.
1. Drain the system, or close the cap
valve on the diaphragm expansion
vessel and reduce the pressure, until
the pressure gauge indicates "0".

10. Place rear ash container G on ash
box D and push the ash container
fully back onto the ash box. The ash
box should click into place.
Note
The two ash containers must not be
swapped round during their inser-
tion.
11. Remove cover F from front ash
container E and place the ash con-
tainer on ash box D.
12. Push the ash box fully in and pivot
handle C upwards.
Note
An incorrectly inserted ash box can
lead to boiler damage.
13. Close ash door B and door A.
2. If the pre-charge pressure of the dia-
phragm expansion vessel is lower
than the static system pressure, top
up with nitrogen until the pre-charge
pressure is raised by 0.1 to 0.2 bar.
