Cause
Water in flow sensor.
Flow sensor faulty.
Flow measurement malfunction.
Flow monitoring is switched off.
Flow sensor not fully inserted in
rubber lip of expiration valve.
Patient is breathing at a high
spontaneous frequency, therefore the
monitored overall frequency is too high.
The device does not deliver any gas.

The »Insp. hold« key was held down
longer than 15 seconds.

Remedy
Dry flow sensor.
Replace flow sensor.
In order to continue ventilating with
Savina:
Use alternative external flow monitoring
and switch off the built-in flow monitoring,
page 50.
Call DrägerService.
Switch flow monitoring on again, see
page 50, or immediately provide
adequate external monitoring.
Insert flow sensor correctly.
Check condition of patient.
Check pattern of ventilation.
Correct alarm limit if necessary.
Set an IPPV frequency of at least 4/min.

Reconnect.
Release »Insp. hold« key.
Immediately connect supply via mains,
external battery or a vehicle DC
on-board network.
Do not switch over Savina to operation via
internal battery.
Restore mains power or supply from
charged external battery or DC on-board

This alarm can be acknowledged by
pressing »Alarm Reset«. It will then
appear as an advisory message (!).
