5. User interface
Co-relation between adjustment position and correction waveform for digital uniformity control is
established by placing the cursor on the CHAR_BLK line for the purpose of interface. Co-relation
between adjustment position and correction waveform for digital convergence control is established by
placing the cross-hatch signal including cursor on the INT_SIGNAL line and outputting them to the Y/G
line upon completion of processing for the purpose of interface.
The cursor position can be changed by specifying the SRAM address MA
in both the digital uniformi-

ty control and digital convergence control. Both controls have data as many as 32 x 16 for every single
display in SRAM in both digital uniformity control and digital convergence control. However, because
the data amount is too large for user adjustment, they are interpolated on software too. In the digital
uniformity control, because size of a cursor area equivalent to single datum is too small for adjustment,
several data are put together on software forming a single block. The adjustment time is reduced by
changing the size of a cursor. Data within a single block are linear-interpolated in H and V directions by
software (i.e., data is eventually interpolated by hardware and software.) In the digital convergence
control, every other data is skipped in the H direction. In other words, number of vertical lines of cross-
hatch signal is 16, and the data between the adjacent vertical lines are created by interpolation.
