5.5.2 Output Lines

The physical output lines are usually used to synchronize the camera to external devices in situations where
it makes sense that the camera is the master. Usual use cases are for example the synchronization of
external illuminations to the sensor exposure or to drive mechanical actuators by the software application.
A full list of possible events assignable by the LineSource property to each output line is shown in Table 36.

While nearly all events available for the LineSource property are raised by the current acquisition state of the
camera, the UserOutput can be defined by the user and thus be used to set a physical output line manually.
The value of this property can be accessed after selecting the appropriate value by the UserOutputSelector ,
according to Table 37.
