Battery protection functions

General

The battery protection functions serve to:

Deep discharge The power source has a deep discharge protector to warn the user if the state of charge of

Function of the deep discharge protector:

Automatic Automatic switch-off avoids unnecessary power consumption, thereby extending the effec-

If the power source is not operated for a specific length of time, it switches off automatically.
To reactivate the power source, press the On/Off button for at least two seconds.

the power source switches off automatically after three minutes
CAUTION! Storing the battery for longer periods in a discharged state may dam-
age the battery.
If the deep discharge protector is triggered, charge the power source immediate-
ly.
NOTE! The factory setting for the automatic switch-off time is 15 minutes (if no
welding is performed for 15 minutes, the power source switches off automatical-
ly). This value can be changed in the Setup menu using the tSd parameter.
