CRANKSHAFT
f. Tighten the bolts to specification in the tight-
ening sequence cast on the crankcase.
NOTE:
S Install copper washers on bolts
S Install the coble holder on bolts
S Install the washers on bolts 2 and 4 X 8 .
A Upper crankcase
B Lower crankcase
M 10 bolt
40 Nm (4.0 mSkg)
M 8 bolt
24 Nm (2.4 mSkg)
M 6 bolt
12 Nm (1.2 mSkg)
g. Remove the lower crankcase and the crank-
shaft journal lower bearings.
h. Measure the compressed Plastigauge
width c on each crankshaft journal.
If the clearance is out of specification, select
replacement crankshaft journal bearings.
