2-36 Setting up the Fiery X2
1. In the main Setup menu, choose Printer Setup.

2. Enter the options appropriate to the printing requirements at the site.

3. When you have finished, save changes.

Printer Setup options

Printer Setup configures the connections and printing behavior associated with a
particular printing device. For more information on Fiery X2 printing connections, see
page xv of the Introduction.
Printer Setup includes:
• Specifying the copier model
• Publishing the Direct connection
• Publishing the Hold queue and Print queue
• Specifying the Fiery X2 connection for parallel jobs when a parallel connection is
enabled
In the list of options that follows, default values, where applicable, appear in square
brackets.
Printer Model
[Model name]
Use this option to specify the model of copier connected to the Fiery X2. This option
appears if more than one model is supported.
Publish Direct Connection
Yes/No [Yes]
This option enables users to print (or download) jobs to the Fiery X2 without spool-
ing. Note that jobs printed to the Direct connection are not saved in the Printed
queue.
If you plan to download fonts from any system to the Fiery X2, you must publish the
Direct connection. If you do not want users to print to Direct, choose No .
