7.8 Advanced Configuration

The Advanced Configuration menu items deal with fine tuning of the algorithms used inside the
transmitter and generally do not need to be adjusted. However, in demanding applications or if the
process or mounting configuration changed from what was ordered, some of the default options
may need to be adjusted.
7.8.1

Mounting

The main configuration parameters in this group deal with describing how the transmitter is
physically mounted to the tank, as shown below in Figure
16.
The lower portion of the display
provides access to a number of advanced options and actions that may be necessary to fine tune
the transmitter performance in cases where the characteristics of the mounting cause
disturbances that cannot be modeled in the factory.

Transmitter Model:
Read-only parameter reflecting the model of transmitter ordered, either SLG720 or SLG726.
Process Connection:
Read-only parameter indicating whether the transmitter was order with a flange for mounting to the
tank or with a simple threaded connection.
