troubleshoot ICSR/SRP issues.
Updating the Operating System
Updating the operating system (StarOS
chassis while it is standby mode. Traffic disruption is minimal since an active chassis will be handling call
sessions while the standby chassis is being updated.
The general upgrade sequence is as follows:
• Download the StarOS software image and copy/transfer it to both chassis.
• Save the currently running configurations on both chassis.
• Update the standby backup chassis first.
• Initiate an SRP switchover from the active primary chassis to make the standby backup chassis active.
• Update the standby primary chassis.
• Initiate an SRP switchover from the active backup chassis to make the standby primary chassis active.
