Piston cooling jets

Engine turning tool
Jet alignment tool
To remove
1 Remove oil pump, Operation 10-4.
2 Use the engine turning tool, CH11148, to turn the crankshaft in a clockwise direction (as seen from the front
of the engine) to obtain access to the relevant piston cooling jet.
3 Remove the bolt which retains the cooling jet and remove the cooling jet from the engine.
4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the cooling jets which remain.
To fit
1 Fit the piston cooling jets to the engine and use the jet alignment tool, GE50004, to ensure that they are
aligned correctly. Turn the crankshaft clockwise (as seen from the front of the engine) as necessary to obtain
access to the relevant positions.
2 Fit the oil pump, Operation 10-4.
