OPERATING THE SYSTEM FROM A TELEPHONE
If your system has a K3-VOX2 Vo i ce bo ard (ac ces sory
item), and your Instal ler has duly ena bled the User Co des,
you will be able to con trol your system via any to uch-pho -
ne. KYO 320 ma na ges up to 64 Te lep ho ne Access User
Co des. Each Code can be pro gram med to con trol spe -
ci fic fun ctions and Par ti tions.
You can ac cess the system over the pho ne:
Ø af ter re ce i ving a call from the Con trol pa nel;
Ø af ter cal ling the Con trol pa nel and ac ti va ting the
Answe ring de vi ce fa ci lity.

Remote Access via 'Dialler' mode

If your in stal ler has duly set up your Con trol pa nel, the Dial -
ler will send vo i ce mes sa ges to the pro gram med te lep ho ne
num bers when Alarm con di tions are de tec ted (this Con trol
pa nel ma na ges up to 32 Te lep ho ne Num bers). If you re -
ce i ve a Dial ler call, you will be able to ac cess your
system du ring the call by en te ring your Access Code
on the te lep ho ne key pad. You can en ter your Access
Code whi le the mes sa ge is pla ying, or du ring the pa u -
ses bet we en mes sa ge an no un ce ments.

If the Con firm suc ce ssful calls op tion is Ena bled,
you must press the * key (Star) whi le the vo i ce
mes sa ge is still run ning, ot her wi se the Con trol pa -
nel will con si der the call "Unsuc ce ssful", and will
carry out the pro gram med Actions.

Re mo te Access via 'Answer' mode

If your in stal ler has duly set up your Con trol pa nels to
an swer in co ming calls, you will be able to ac cess your
system via the 'Answe ring de vi ce' fa ci lity.

The Answe ring fun ction must be Ena bled, ot her wi -
se, you will be una ble to ac cess your system via re -
mo te te lep ho ne. DO NOT use a te lep ho ne with a
re dial but ton to Arm or Di sarm your system, as this
may put your system se cu rity at risk.
If you are ac ces sing your system via the 'Answe ring de -
vi ce' fa ci lity, two con di tions are pos si ble:
Ø Te le ser vi ce Ena bled
ØTe le ser vi ce Di sa bled.
n Teleservice Enabled
If the 'Answer' and 'Te le ser vi ce' fa ci lity are both Ena -
bled, your system will an swer your call af ter the pro -
gram med num ber of rings. It will emit a high-pitch

au di ble si gnal (beep), wait ap pro xi ma tely 4 se conds then will
play the Answer mes sa ge. At this po int, you can en ter your
PIN and send the re qui red com mands over the pho ne.
n Teleservice Disabled
If the 'Te le ser vi ce' fa ci lity is Di sa bled, your system will
an swer your call af ter the pro gram med num ber of
rings. It will emit a low-pitch au di ble si gnal then will play
the Answer mes sa ge. At this po int, you can en ter your
PIN and send the re qui red com mands over the phone.

Typing-in your User Code PIN

You can type-in your PIN whi le the mes sa ge is pla ying,
or du ring the pa u ses bet we en mes sa ge an no un ce -
ments, re gar dless of the Te lep ho ne Access mode
(Dial ler or Answer Mode).
To type-in your PIN:

1. Press the
or hi gher),
2. en ter your PIN,
3. press the # key.
If your system re co gni zes your code, it will emit an au di -
ble feed back si gnal (short high-pit ched beep), and will
ac cept com mands.
If your system DOES NOT re co gni ze your code, it will
emit an au di ble er ror si gnal (buzz).
The system will end the call au to ma ti cally, if no va lid
code is en te red wit hin 30 se conds (at de fa ult). This in -
ter val can be cu sto mi zed from 1 to 254 se conds.
If ne ces sary, press # to de le te wrong di gits and re start.

Entering Commands

Once your PIN has been re co gni zed, you can en ter the
Com mand Co des. If you en ter a wrong Code, the
system will emit an au di ble er ror si gnal (buzz).
If you en ter a va lid Code, the system will emit an au di ble
con fir ma tion si gnal (beep).

The system will end the call au to ma ti cally, if no Key
is pres sed wit hin 2 mi nu tes.

Can cel Com mand
Press # to can cel the Com mand, and step back to the
Enter data pha se.
Press # to de le te wrong di gits: the system will emit an
au di ble feed back si gnal (2 be eps) to con firm that the
data has been de le ted.
