In this Ma nual, the word Re a der re fers to ECLIPSE
and PROXI Re a ders.

The Re a der LEDs

The ECLIPSE Key and PROXI Card Re a ders sim plify
system con trol by re pla cing User Code PINs with high
Se cu rity Di gi tal Keys or Cards. The Re a ders have 3
LEDs, this sec tion de scri bes how the LEDs will si gnal
the System status.

If the re a der has been set to Com pa ti bi lity with
EN50131, all the in di ca tor lights will be swit ched off
at the end of the Exit time and Entry time pe riods.
n No Key/Card at Re a der
When no Di gi tal Key/Card is pre sent at the Re a der, the
LEDs will si gnal as shown in Ta ble 6.
The Par ti tions that are not con trol led by the Re a der will
not af fect the LEDs. If the con fi gu ra tion of the Armed
Par ti tions does not match eit her A or B Mode Arming
(for exam ple, one of the Re a der Par ti tions has been
Armed via Key pad), ne it her the Amber nor Gre en LED
will turn ON.

The Instal ler can pro gram the Re a der LEDs to si -
gnal the System sta tus at all ti mes, or al ter na ti vely,
only in re spon se to a Va lid Key/Card (LEDs OFF
when no Key/Card is present).
n Key/Card at Re a der
When a Key/Card is pre sent at the Re a der, the LEDs
will si gnal as fol lows.
a) Fast Blin king on 1 LED - Be fo re Arming the Par ti -
tions, the Con trol pa nel will check the sta tus of the
Unbypas sed (ON) and Instant Zo nes. If a Zone is 'Vio la -
ted' (e.g. door or win dow open), the LED, as so cia ted
with the se lec ted Arming Mode, will blink quickly. If this
oc curs, DO NOT ARM the System, as Arming will trig -
ger a Fal se Alarm.

Fal se Alarms can be stop ped by simply Di sar ming
the system (re fer to "Di gi tal Key/Card Re a der ope -
ra tions" in this sec tion). If you ac ci den tally trig ger
an Alarm, call the Cen tral Sta tion to pre vent the
ope ra tor from ta king un ne ces sary ac tion.

If, when you Arm the system, the Con trol pa nel de -
tects Au tob ypas sa ble zo nes in Alarm sta tus, it will
bypass them au to ma ti cally. In this
Alarms will not be trig ge red, ho we ver, Bypas sed
zo nes will be UnBypas sed au to ma ti cally when the -
ir Par ti tions are next di sar med.
b) Fast Blin king on all 3 LEDs - This will oc cur when a
Fal se Key/Card is pre sent at the Re a der.
c) Slow Blin king on all 3 LEDs (ECLIPSE Re a ders
only) - This Mode will al low you to re sto re the pre vio us
set ting (re set the Arming Mode that was ac ti ve be fo re
the SAT Key was in ser ted. To Re set: push the SAT Key
into the ECLIPSE Re a der un til the 3 LEDs start to blink
slowly, the pre vio us set ting will be re sto red when you
re mo ve the Key.
d) Red LED ON - The System will Arm when you re mo -
ve the Key/Card from the Re a der.
e) Amber LED ON - The System will Arm in A Mode
when you re mo ve the Key/Card from the Re a der.
f) Gre en LED ON - The System will Arm in B Mode
when you re mo ve the Key/Card from the Re a der.

Your Instal ler may have Di sa bled
LEDs, the re fo re, they will not turn ON even when a
va lid Key/Card is used.

Multiple Systems

The Di gi tal Keys/Cards can be pro gram med (by the
Instal ler) to ope ra te on more than one System, and to
ma na ge dif fe rent Par ti tions on each System.
