Acti ve Sla ve Co des can ac cess the system and con trol
the ir ena bled Par ti tions and fun ctions.
To al low/deny system ac cess to a Sla ve Code:
1. Use A and B to scroll the Sla ve Co des list (ac ces sed
by the Ma ster Code).

2. Press the ENTER key to se lect the re qui red Code.

3. Press the ON key to se lect Acti ve sta tus, or OFF to
de se lect Acti ve sta tus, as re qui red.

A Code can be both a Ma ster and a Sla ve (i.e. Sla -
ve of one Code, and Ma ster of anot her). A Ma ster
Code can not de se lect the Acti ve sta tus of a Sla ve
Code that is Ma ster of anot her Slave Code.
To chan ge the PIN of a Sla ve Code:
1. Use A and B to scroll the list of Sla ve Co des (ac ces -
sed by the Ma ster Code).

2. Press the ENTER key to se lect the re qui red Code.

3. Press the ENTER key aga in, the di splay will show the
fol lo wing mes sa ge:
Enter new PIN

4. Enter the new PIN (4 to 6 di gits) — * will re pla ce X
as you en ter the new di gits.
5. Press the ENTER key, the di splay will show the fol lo -
wing mes sa ge:
Repeat new PIN
PIN ******
In the exam ple abo ve, two di gits have been en te red.
6. Enter the new PIN aga in, the press the ENTER key to
con firm and go back to step 1.
If ne ces sary, press the ESC: key to aban don the pro ce -
du re and go back to step 1.

You can not as sign the de fa ult PIN of one code to
anot her Code (re fer to Ta ble 9).
If you at tempt to as sign the de fa ult PIN of one Code to
anot her Code, the di splay will show the fol lo wing mes -
sa ge:

You can not as sign a PIN that al re ady exists on the
system.
If you at tempt to as sign a PIN that has al re ady been as -
si gned to anot her Code, the di splay will show the fol lo -
wing mes sa ge:

Duplicated PIN!
This mes sa ge in di ca tes that the PIN al re ady exists on
the system, the re fo re, the Con trol pa nel will con si der
the Code to be "Di sclo sed" and, for se cu rity re a sons,
will au to ma ti cally re sto re the de fa ult PIN of the Code
con cer ned.
If a User at tempts to ac cess the system using a "Di sclo -
sed" PIN, the di splay will show the fol lo wing mes sa ge:

Di sclo sed" PINs (at de fa ult) must be re pro gram med
(re fer to Ta ble 7).
"Di sclo sed" PINs will be si gnal led by:
Ø the G LED (ON) on the Key pad
Ø the Di sclo sed PIN! mes sa ge in View Tro u ble
mode
Øthe Event de ta ils in the Log ger
TYPE = Di sclo sed PIN
IDENT. = the Key pad used
TIME = Time and Date of the Event
The Tro u ble sta tus will cle ar when a New PIN (ot her
than the de fa ult PIN) is as si gned to the Code with "Di -
sclo sed" PIN status.
