Saving the incident report to a USB stick
To receive support from Leica when an instrument malfunction,
decrease in specimen quality or destruction of a specimen oc-
curs, the entire incident report must be saved and a routine save
must be carried out (routine backup files, SAVE TO USB STICK
button). In addition, please always provide the serial number
of your device.
Information on how to carry out a routine save is described in
Chap.
5.1.9. To save the incident report to a USB stick, follow
these steps:
1. Click ENTRIES.
2. Check the USB stick to be used for viruses. Then, insert the
USB stick according to
Chap. 4.4.4
on the instrument.
3. Click INCIDENT REPORT.
4. In the DATE OF INCIDENT section of the opened dialog,
select either the day of the incident or the following day. If
the incident is in the past anyway, we recommend that you
select the following day because then subsequent faults
that occurred after the incident can be documented.

5. In the NUMBER OF DAYS TO BE STORED section, please
select a suitable time frame. Up to 10 days can be stored.
6. Confirm your entries by clicking the OK button.
7. After they have been saved successfully, the following mes-
sage appears. Please acknowledge it with OK.
