When inserting the new filter, make sure that
it is pushed all the way into the compartment
and that the flap is closed.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
• The blue condensate bottle must be taken out, emptied and
reinserted at regular intervals (weekly). This should be done
sooner if a prompt to that effect is issued by the software
(Fig. 231).
Dispose of waste solvents with care according
to local regulations and the waste manage-
ment policy of the company or institution.
• The life of the active carbon filter will depend on the reagent
types used and how frequently they are used in the instru-
ment.
• The filter (13) should be replaced after 45 days at the latest
(Fig. 233).
• We recommend a SMART clean prior to changing the active
carbon filter.
• After replacing the filter, open the SYSTEM MONITOR menu
to set the filter replacement date to the current date. See also
Chapter 5.1.4.
