The number of registered entries is displayed and after that the
display of step 2 returns and you can continue registering.

When you have finished registering, press

• If you enter a entry in phone book that does not contain a name, it becomes group q.
• When in step 3, you can delete an entry by selecting the item you want deleted and
pressing

• If you do not make any key operation for 60 seconds while in register mode, the phone
returns to standby condition.
• When you try to register to a memory number that already contains an entry, "
Already Registered" appears. Specify another memory number.
• When you do not want others to view your phone book, set phone book lock (page 96).
When this is set, you cannot use the phone book function even when you press
unless you enter your password number.
• When key lock or dial lock is set, you cannot do this operation.
"Name & group" input method

Inputting name
You can input a name with a maximum length of 14 characters.
See page 41 for the character input mode switching and
character input method.
