Terms and conditions
1. You are allowed, subject to receipt by Barco of the compensation due for your purchase of this upgrade kit, to upgrade the
Barco FLM R20+ or the Barco HD18 according to the instructions and guidelines set forth in this manual. You acknowledge that
the procedures set forth herein can and will only be performed by qualified technical service personnel and shall be performed
at your risk.
2. You confirm that the software key which you will receive from Barco in the frame of the upgrade process will be used only by
your skilled personnel, for the sole purpose of upgrading the equipment and shall not be transferred to any person outside your
organization.
Subject to a strict adherence to the procedures and conditions detailed in this manual, Barco (i) warrants that the light output of

the equipment, as measured with zero (0) hour universal FLM lamp, will be increased with 10% (taking into account a margin
error in more or in less of 10%) and (ii) authorizes you to perform the upgrade process and (iii) grants an extended warranty
on the Barco FLM R20+ or the Barco HD18. Extended warranty as used herein shall mean the warranties against defects of
the equipment as granted by Barco originally upon your procurement of the Barco FLM R20+ or the Barco HD18, for a period
of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase of this upgrade kit and provided that such warranty on the original projectors
had not yet expired or ended at the date of such purchase.
4. Prior to starting the upgrade process, you shall ensure that the Barco FLM R20+ or the Barco HD18 is in good working order.
If the equipment appears to be in poor working condition, the warranties granted herein shall only become effective subject to
the equipment being restored to good working condition at your expense.
5. You agree to replace the existing label on the projector by the "FLM R22+" label or the "FLM HD20" label as appropriate (included
in the upgrade kit) once the upgrade is realized.
6. You agree that title, ownership rights, and other intellectual property and proprietary rights associated with the FLM upgrade
process shall remain in Barco.
7. Any information used to perform the upgrade made available in this manual, through Barco's website or otherwise is provided
on a strictly "as is" and "as available" basis, without representation or warranty (including any implied warranties) of any kind,
other than the warranties set forth in point 4 above.
8. Barco shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage whatsoever or howsoever caused, arising directly or indirectly in con-
nection with the upgrade, its use or otherwise, except and only to the extent to which it is unlawful to exclude such liability under
the applicable law.
9. Notwithstanding the generality of point 8 above, Barco expressly excludes liability for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental
or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever which may arise in respect of the upgrade, its use or in respect of
equipment or property, or for loss of profit, business, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings.
10. In the event that any exclusion contained in this manual shall be held to be invalid for any reason and Barco becomes liable for
loss or damage that may lawfully be limited, such liability for all claims of any kind shall be limited to the compensation due for
your purchase of this upgrade kit.
11. Barco does not exclude liability for death or bodily injury to the extent only that the same arises as a result of the negligence of
Barco, its employees, agents or authorized representatives.
12. You agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Barco from and against any and all claims resulting from any use by you,
your representatives or any third party not in accordance with the instructions or guidelines set forth by Barco in this manual,
at Barco's website or otherwise made in writing.
