1.2 Removing the small UV/IR blocker
Some UV/IR blockers have a circular shape. The illustrations in this procedure are for a square shaped UV/IR
blocker. Nevertheless, the same procedure remains valid for both type of UV/IR blockers.
Location of the small UV/IR blocker
The small UV/IR blocker (reference 1) is located in the light path between the cold mirror and the integration rod. Remove the Lamp
House to access the small UV/IR blocker.

This procedure assumes that the lamp house is already removed from the projector.
Necessary tools
2,5 mm Allen wrench.
How to remove the small UV/IR blocker?
1. Remove the metal frame of the small UV/IR blocker by turning out the four screws (reference 1) as illustrated.
Caution: Do not touch the surface of the cold mirror.

2. Remove out the UV/IR blocker (reference 2 of image 1-2) from its holder.
For optimal performance clean the cold mirror now while it is accessible. See procedure "Cleaning the cold
mirror", page 4 .
