1. FLM upgrade R20+→R22+ / HD18→HD20
1.1 FLM upgrade process
This process describes the different stages to upgrade the FLM projector. Note that some stages refer to other
documents included in the upgrade kit. Other stage refer to procedures included in this document.

Process stages:
1. Remove the old Lamp House from the FLM projector. See detailed instructions in the installation manual "Lamp House replace-
ment" (R5976299) included in this upgrade kit.
2. Remove the small UV/IR blocker. For detailed instructions see "Removing the small UV/IR blocker", page 3 .
Caution: Do not touch the cold mirror while removing the small UV/IR blocker.
3. Clean the cold mirror. See procedure page 4 .
4. Install the new Lamp House in the FLM projector. See detailed instructions in the installation manual "Lamp House replacement"
(R5976299) included in this upgrade kit.
5. Replace the Lamp Power Supply of the FLM projector. See detailed instructions in the installation manual "FLM Lamp Power
Supply" (R59770060) included in this upgrade kit.
6. Replace the product label on the projector cover with the new label included in this upgrade kit.
Tip: To remove the old label easily warm up the label using a hair drier.
7. Make a projector configuration in the Projector Toolset. See pagepage 5 or consult the user guide of the "Projector Toolset for
FLM"
8. Upgrade the projector flash software with version 1.7.18 or later. For detailed instructions see chapter "Updating the projector
software", page 7 or consult the user guide of the "Projector Toolset for FLM". The projector flash software, Projector Toolset
and user guides can be downloaded from the secured Barco web site

9. Request a software key from Barco to activate the new projector software. See procedure "Activating projector functionality",
page 9 .
