Connection settings (Overview)

The chart on the following pages gives an overview of the possible connection set-
tings and parameters.
For further details, you may also refer to the Connectivity Guide for PostBase
on the FP homepage.

Appendix – Connection settings (Overview)
LAN connection. PostBase Mini connects to the
Francotyp-Postalia Infrastructure (FPI) via the
internet.
(default setting, not changeable)
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. Network-
ing protocol that allows automatic connection to
a network.
Select this setting if your network supports
DHCP.
(default setting)
Select this setting if your network does not sup-
port DHCP.
During manual configuration, you will need to
enter the following parameters:
– Static IP address for your PostBase Mini
– Subnet mask
– Default gateway
– IP address of the DNS server.
Please contact you network administrator for
details.
Note: When entering IP addresses, you have to
enter the dots, too.
