- Table 2 shows recommended suction pipe sizes
and eccentric reductions. To avoid air pockets
eccentric reductions must be installed upgrade
towards the pump.

(6) For installations with suction head:
- It is recommended to install a shutoff valve on
the suction pipe to make easy the disassembling
and checking.

- Suction pipe must be installed with a downward
slope towards the pump to avoid the formation of
air pockets.
6.3 Centering
In case of pump provided with motor the join bet-
ween both items is made by using a elastic cou-
pling (with or without spacer).
The pumps are correctly aligned before being
sold, however, when installing, the common base
must be tilted when adjusting the anchorage
bolts. Thus the common base must be adjusted
by placing metal gages under it and aligning the
pump to leave the coupling clearances within the
limits stated on Fig. 2.
If the purchase is made without the motor and
you intend to connect it when installing, correct
the coupling alignment by inserting a fine spacer
under the motor, adjusting the difference within
the limits set in Fig. 2.

Alignment is made by moving the coupling
guard, so it is essential to replace it before star-
ting up.
The coupling size depends on the power of the
motor coupled to pump. For more information
