Clean caliper area before removal.
4.
Remove caliper mounting bolts and lift caliper off of disc.
NOTE: When removing caliper, be careful not to
damage brake line. Support caliper so as not to kink
or bend brake line.
5.
Push caliper piston into caliper bore slowly with pads
installed.
NOTE: Brake
fluid
will
compensating
port
into
reservoir when piston is pushed back into caliper.
Remove excess fluid from reservoir as required.
6.
Remove the brake pads.

Pad Inspection
1.
Clean the caliper with brake cleaner or alcohol.
2.
Measure the thickness of the pad material. Replace pads if
worn beyond the service limit.
Measure
Thickness
Rear Brake Pad Thickness
New .298 + .007" (7.56 + .178 mm)
Service Limit .180" (4.6 mm)
Pad Installation
1.
Install new pads in caliper body.
2.
Install caliper and torque mounting bolts.
