Tests

NOTE: The test number will appear in the Fresh Food
display.
When the ON/OFF Fresh Food pad is pressed, the part
being tested will appear in the Freezer display. If a test
fails, refer to the Troubleshooting failed tests section on
the following page.
Test 28: Dispenser paddle test.
(See Flow Chart 6)
Push the ON/OFF pad and press paddle with freezer
door closed to test. Display will show "ON" when
pressed; "OFF" when released.
Test 1: Standard compressor test.
Push the ON/OFF pad and the compressor will run.
Push the ON/OFF pad again to stop.
NOTE: This test will not show when product has a VCC
Compressor. VCC models use test 38.
Test 2: Defrost heater test.
Push the ON/OFF pad and the heater will come on.
Push the ON/OFF pad again and the heater will go off.
Test 3: Fresh food compartment lighting test.
Push the ON/OFF pad, then open the food door and the
food compartment lights will come on low and ramp up.
Push the ON/OFF pad again to cancel test.
Test 8: Water valve, Water dispenser only.
(See Flow Chart 2)
NOTE: Place a cup in the dispenser prior to starting this
test to collect the water as both primary and water valve
are activated.
Push the ON/OFF pad to actuate valve. Push the
ON/OFF pad again to deactivate.
Test 9: Freezer compartment lighting test.
Push the ON/OFF pad, then open the freezer door and
the freezer compartment lights will come on low and
ramp up. Push the ON/OFF pad again to cancel test.
Test 10: Auger motor (See Flow Chart 3)
Push the ON/OFF pad to activate. Auger runs with fresh
food door closed. Push the ON/OFF pad again to
deactivate.
Test 10a: Auger Motor Switch
Push the ON/OFF pad to activate. Auger stops when
fresh food door switch is allowed to open.
Test 11: Cube/Crush solenoid
(See Flow Chart 4)
Push the ON/OFF pad to activate. Solenoid pulls in
(requires ice bucket to release) Push the ON/OFF
pad again to deactivate.
Test 12: VCC condenser Fan
Push the ON/OFF pad and the fan motor will run at full
speed. Push the ON/OFF pad again and it will stop
running.
NOTE: Only used with VCC Compressor.
Test 41: Perfect Temp Drawer
Push the ON/OFF pad and the Perfect Temp Drawer
(PTD) will activate. Push the ON/OFF pad again and the
PTD will deactivate.
Test 38: VCC compressor
Push the ON/OFF pad and the Compressor will run at
full speed. Push the ON/OFF pad again and it will stop
running.
NOTE: Only used with VCC Compressor. Standard
Compressor model uses test 1.
Test 15: Evaporator fan
Push the ON/OFF pad and the fan will run at low speed.
"LOW" will show in freezer display. Push the ON/OFF
pad and the fan will run at full speed. "HI" will show in
the freezer display. Push the ON/OFF pad again, the
fan will stop running and "Off" will show in the freezer
display.
Test 22: Damper test
Push the ON/OFF pad, the damper will open and "OP"
will show in freezer display. Push the ON/OFF pad, the
damper will close and "CL" will show in the freezer
display.
