3. If the voltage checks good, remove the inverter
from the compressor by removing one screw at the
bottom of the inverter that goes through the bracket
welded to the compressor. (See Figure 3-16) Pull
the inverter away from compressor. Use a small
flat-bladed screwdriver to remove the plug from the
compressor terminals. Using an ohmmeter, check
the resistance between the compressor terminals
(See testing the compressor). If the compressor
checks good, replace the inverter.

Testing the Compressor

The compressor has a 3 phase, 4 pole brushless DC
motor. To test the compressor using your Ohmmeter,
check the resistance between the terminals. Check
should read 10 ohm +/- 10 % when using Figure 3-17 to
test.
