and for when it is in use. If you use the unit in the bedroom, you may prefer a
lower standby brightness level than the standard setting. There are a range
of Standby brightness levels and a range for when the radio is in use.
To change the current brightness setting please follow these steps.
1. If your radio is in Standby you can quickly access the brightness menu.
Press and hold the Select/Information button to access the display
brightness settings and then skip to step 5.
2. Alternatively, you can set the display brightness when your radio is playing.
Access the menu for the current mode by pressing the Menu button.

Press the Tuning Up or Down buttons until 'System settings' is highlighted
on the display. Press the Select button to enter the System Settings menu.
Press the Tuning Up or Down buttons until 'Brightness' is highlighted on
the display. Press the Select button.

The current setting will be marked with an asterisk.
5. Press the Tuning Up or Down buttons to choose the desired brightness
level. Press the Select button to set the level. Press the Menu button to
exit.
When the radio is in Standby mode, pressing a button will cause the radio to
switch to the normal brightness level for a few seconds. This is so that even
if the standby brightness level is set low, it is still possible to see the time
when needed.
The settings in Standby mode are lower than their equivalents when the radio
is in use.
