    If the radio is not to be used for any extended period of time it is recommended that the batteries are removed from the radio. We would recommend for economy, that the R9905 is used on the mains whenever possible with battery operation for occasional or stand-by use only.

    Setting the clock time M o d e 1. When first connected to mains or batteries the display will show "0:00" 2. Hold down the Mode button until the display begins to flash. 3. Set the hours using the - button and the minutes using the + button. M o d e 4.

    Pre-setting stations You may store up to five different stations on each of the three wavebands giving a total of 15 preset stations. 1. Switch on your radio using the Power button. 2. Select the desired waveband using the Waveband switch. T u n in g M e m o 3.

    Recalling a preset station 1. Switch on your radio using the Power button. 2. Select the desired waveband using the Waveband switch. 3. Press one of the Preset buttons to recall the station or press either the Memo Up or Down buttons to step through the available D o w n M e m o stations.

    Wake to radio A la rm 1. Set the alarm time as previously described. 2. Tune to the required station and set the Volume control to the level at which you wish to wake. 3. Repeatedly press and release the Alarm button until the symbol appears in the display.

    Snooze control S n o o z e 1. The radio or buzzer alarm can be silenced for 5 minutes by pressing the Snooze button. This sequence can be repeated during the 90 minute alarm period. Sleep timer The radio can be set to turn off after a preset time has elapsed. 1.

    Headphones 1. A Headphone Socket (3.5mm) located on the left hand end of your radio is provided for use with either headphones or an earpiece.
