Check tight fit of wheel nuts

Monitoring intervals

After the first 10 to 15 operating hours and then every
50 operating hours, check the tightness of all wheel
nuts (A) Repeat this check every 100 working hours
and then every 1000 working hours (once a year).

Procedure:

Use a torque wrench to tighten wheel nuts (A) in
crosswise fashion.
Tightening torque: 300 Nm (220 ft lb)

Setting (locking) the bearing clearance

– Remove dust caps (B).
– Remove the safety pin.
– Tighten the nuts.
Tightening torque: 90 ± 2 Nm (66.2 ± 1.5 ft lb)
– Loosen the nuts to align the last safety groove with
the axle.
– Block the nuts with the safety pin.
– Fill dust cap (B) with new and clean grease.
