CLAAS COMMUNICATOR - operation

Turn rotor back

If the rotor is blocked during work, it could have the
following causes:
– the rotor took up too much baling material. It is
blocking its movement.
– a foreign object is blocking the movement of the
rotor, etc.
Note!
The CLAAS COMMUNICATOR is equipped with
a control function to eliminate the blockage of

the rotor: this function, turning the rotor back,
may only be activated three times in a row, at
the most.
Procedure of turning back the rotor:
– If necessary, remove pressed material or foreign
bodies.
Danger!
Before reaching into the rotor area, shut
down the engine and pull out the ignition key.
If you try to eliminate the blockage manually,
it may cause serious injuries.
– Switch on PTO drive.
– Lift pick-up.
(Fig. 5)
– Switch off the power take-off shaft
(PTO).
– Lower the pick-up.
– Press key (H) to start the
turning back of the rotor.
