Engine Controls
SNOW THROWER CONTROLS (Continued)
G. Clean-Out Tool — Used to remove snow and debris from the dis-
charge chute and the auger housing.
H. Skid Shoe — Used to adjust the ground clearance of the auger
housing.
I. Headlight — Used to operate the snowthrower in poor lighting
conditions.
J. Heated Hand Grips — When the engine is running, the heated
hand grips will automatically turn ON. After the engine is shut off, the
heated hand grips will automatically turn OFF.
ENGINE CONTROLS
A. Choke Control Knob — Used to start a cold engine (see
Figure 12).
B. Electric Start Button — Used to start the engine using the electric
starter.

C. Primer Button — Used to inject fuel directly into the carburetor
manifold to ensure fast starts in cool weather.
D. Safety Key — Must be inserted to start the engine. Pull out to stop.
Do not turn safety key.
E. Starter Cord Handle — Used to start the engine manually.
F. ON/OFF Switch (if equipped) — Used to start and stop the
engine.
G. Fuel Tank and Cap — Fill the fuel tank to approximately 1-1/2 in.
(38 mm) below the top of the neck to allow for fuel expansion.
H. Oil Fill Cap (Extended Dipstick)
