Commissioning with IOP-2
To enter the data for basic commissioning with the IOP-2, proceed as follows:
1.
Select the "Wizard" menu.
2.
Navigate to "Basic commissioning".
3.
Press "OK" to confirm.
Select "Yes" to start with the factory settings and confirm with OK.

Use the navigation wheel in order to select the required control mode from
the list. V/f control with square characteristic is the normal choice for pump,
fan and compressor applications.

Press "OK" to confirm.
Set the regional settings for the motor, e.g. kW and Hz.
Select "Yes" in order to enter the data from the rating plate, or "No" if you are
commissioning a Siemens 1LE1 motor.
Select a motor type. With IOP V1.5 and higher, the synchronous motor is
available only in combination with control mode "Sensorless Vector Control".
Select the 50 Hz characteristic. If you wish to use the 87 Hz characteristic, refer
to the detailed technical documentation and the application example "Fans in 87
Hz operation" [➙ 77].
The motor data settings for
rated frequency in Hz
rated voltage in volts
rated current in amperes
shaft output in KW or hp
rated speed in RPM
from the rating plate must match the wiring (star/delta).
1. Turn the navigation wheel (or alter individual digits by pressing OK for 3
seconds) in order to change the displayed value.
2. Press OK to confirm the setting.
⇨ The display changes automatically to the next commissioning step.
Activates the motor data identification process. A motor ID process is compulsory
when control mode "Sensorless Vector Control" has been selected. Motor data
identification is initiated when the drive is first enabled following basic
commissioning. The result of the motor data identification process must be
copied from RAM to ROM! (Options→RAM to ROM)
