To display the SNMP settings configured on the Switch 3800, use the
following command:
show management
This command displays the following information:
Enable/disable state for telnet, SNMP, and web access
SNMP community strings
Authorized SNMP station list
SNMP trap receiver list
Logon statistics
To reset or disable SNMP settings, use the commands in Table 3-5.
The Switch 3800 has the following two facilities for checking basic
connectivity:
ping
traceroute
The ping command allows you to send Internet Control Message
Protocol (ICMP) echo messages to a remote IP device. The ping
command is available for both the user and administrator privilege
level.
The ping command syntax is as follows:
ping {continuous} {size <n>} <ip_address>
Description
Allows you to disable SNMP on the Switch.
Allows you to prevent SNMP traps from being sent from
the Switch.
Restores default values to all SNMP-related entries.
