The traceroute command allows you to trace the routed path between
the Switch and a destination endstation.
The traceroute command syntax is as follows:
traceroute <ip_address>
where ip_address is the IP address of the destination endstation.
Ports on the Switch 3800 can be configured in the following ways:
Enabling and disabling individual ports
Configuring autonegotiation
Creating load-sharing groups on multiple ports
By default, all ports are enabled. To enable or disable one or more
ports, use the following command:
[enable | disable] port <portlist>
For example, to disable ports 3, 5, and 6, enter the following:
disable port 3,5-6
Even though a port is disabled, the link remains enabled for diagnostic
purposes.
Description
Allows you to specify ICMP echo messages to be sent
continuously.
Allows you to specify the size of the packet.
