Cause:
Cappuccinatore not cleaned sufficiently. If the cappuccinatore lid has not
been cleaned properly, the channels become blocked and frothing is no
longer possible.
Remedy:
1. After milk froth preparation, pre-clean the cappuccinatore lid using the
Rinse function (see the operating instructions).
2. Completely dismantle the cappuccinatore lid and clean it with detergent
and hot water.
Note:
Rinsing and washing in the sink with detergent is not a substitute for thorough
cleaning in a dishwasher, but it ensures that most of the milk residue is removed
quickly.
For cleaning in a dishwasher, a special insert is available for the cappuccinatore.
3. Every evening, at the latest, the cappuccinatore should be completely
dismantled and cleaned in the dishwasher.
Cause:
Foreign object/milk residue in the lid cover groove. If a foreign object or milk
residue is in the lid cover groove (see Figure 040-2, Item 1), then no air can
be mixed with the milk.
Remedy:
Remove the foreign object or milk residue.
Cause:
Cappuccinatore is not assembled tightly enough. The cappuccinatore is too
dry, so it does not seal correctly and thus draws in too much air.
Position 1: Little froth but hot
Position 2: Plentiful froth but not very hot
