ROCKER ARM COVER
REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL — TBI ENGINES
M
Remove or Disconnect (Figure 3)
1. Battery negative cable.
2. Engine cover (G-models).
3. Air cleaner.
4. Crankcase ventilation Jioses at the rocker arm
covers.
5. Wiring harnesses from the clips, and move aside.
6. Components as follows for right rocker arm cover:
• AIR hose from check valve (G-models).

• Diverter valve and hoses from bracket
(G-models).
• PCV valve.
• Dipstick upper bracket (G-models).
• Heat stove pipe.
7. Components as follows for left rocker arm cover:
• Generator rear brace (G-models).
• Oil fill tube (G-models).
• Power brake vacuum pipe, and move it aside
(R/V models).
• Air conditioning compressor (if equipped; R/V
models). Lay aside. Refer to AIR CONDITION­
ING (SEC. 1B).
8. AIR pipe at manifold (G-models).
9. Rocker arm cover bolts and washers.
10. Rocker arm cover and gasket.
5. Bolt
6. Washer
7. Rocker Arm Cover
8. Gasket
9. Reinforcement
10. Nut
