CABLE REPLACEMENT

FRONT CABLE REPLACEMENT (R/V MODELS)

Remove or Disconnect (Figures 20, 22
• Raise the vehicle and support with suitable safety
stands.
1. Nut (31) from the equalizer (32).
2. Connector (33) from the front cable.
3. Cable from the frame bracket.
4. Nuts (1) (figure 20).
5. Bolts (2) (figure 20).
6. Parking brake pedal assembly.
7. Bend retaining fingers (34) and (35).
8. Cable from the brake pedal assembly.
9.* Cable assembly (36).
• Attach a piece of wire to the cable to help in
installation.

install or Connect (Figures 22 and 23)
1. Cable assembly (36).
• Make sure all the retaining fingers (34) and (35)
are completely through the holes.
2. Cable to the pedal assembly.

3. Parking brake pedal assembly.
4. Bolt (2) (figure 20).
5. Nuts (1) (figure 20).
6. Cable to frame bracket.
7. Connector (33).
8. Nut (31) onto the equalizer (32).

• Refer to "Parking Brake Adjustment" in this
section.
• Lower the vehicle.
Remove or Disconnect (Figures 22, 24
• Raise the vehicle and support with suitable safety
stands.
1. Nut (31) from the equalizer (32).
2. Connector (33) from the front cable.
3. Bolts (37) and clips (38).
4. Cable from the pedal/handle assembly.
• Bend the retaining fingers (34).
5. Cable assembly (36).
• Attach a piece of wire to the cable to help in
installation.
