4.3.2 Scanner Housing

Once the Scanner Housing is removed, there is a possibility that
C A U T I O N
dust and dirt may enter the inside of the scanner body. Perform
disassembly and assembly of the Scanner Unit in an
environment that minimizes intrusion of dust and dirt.
Disassembly and assembly on a clean bench is ideal.
There is a possibility of damaging the right and left shanks of
the ASF Cover when removing the Scanner Housing. To
prevent such damage, remove the ASF Cover beforehand.
Perform disassembly and assembly with care not to damage the
document table (glass). In addition, never forget that a very
troublesome cleaning is required if dirt sticks to the inside of
the document table.

Remove the Scanner Unit. (p.83)
2.
Remove the ASF Cover.
3.
Remove the nine screws at the bottom of the Scanner Unit.

3x10 B (x7)
4.
Disengage the right and left hooks (x4) of the Scanner Housing, disengage the hooks
(x2) at the rear with the front side opened slightly, and remove the Scanner Housing.
Tighten the screws in the order shown below to secure the Scanner
Housing. (Torque : 0.54 ± 0.05 N⋅m)
