4.3.6 CCD Unit (Carriage Unit Assy)

1. Remove the Scanner Housing. (p.97)
2. Remove the CR Motor Unit. (p.99)
(There is no need to remove the Timing Belt)
3. Remove the screw securing the FFC Ground Plate, and disconnect the ground cable.
4. Peel off the FFC from the FFC Ground Plate and Housing Lower Assy.
5. At the bottom of the CCD Unit, remove the belt clamp and the Timing Belt.
Fix the HP Sensor FFC with double-stick tape (x3), and fix the
FFC Ground Plate with double-stick tape that must be stuck in
the area shown at right beforehand. (See Figure 4-33)
Fix the CCD Unit FFC with the double-stick tape that must be
stuck on the FFC Ground Plate.

Route the ground cable as shown at right.
