Install the expansion board into the slot until it seats firmly.

Connect and route all drive cables. For more information, see "Drive cabling."
7.
Install the PCIe riser board assembly.
8.
IMPORTANT: The server does not power up if the PCI riser board assembly is not seated
properly.
Install the server into the chassis
9.
Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
10.
Press the Power On/Standby button.
11.
The server exits standby mode and applies full power to the system. The system power LED
changes from amber to green.
Cache module
A cache module is supported on the HPE Smart Array P440 Controller.
Power down the server (on page 15).
1.
Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
2.
Remove the server (on page 16).
3.
Place the server on a flat, level work surface.
4.
Remove the PCIe riser board assembly.
5.
IMPORTANT: Remove the baffle or scoop from the controller before installing the controller
in the PCIe riser board assembly.
