COMPILATION CHECK
STATIC CHECK
1. Check:
• Shift lever for smooth operation by shift-
ing the lever from neutral to forward or
reverse.
NOTE:
Turn the throttle grip to the fully closed position
before checking the shift lever.
2. Check:
• Throttle grip for smooth operation by
turning the grip from the fully closed to
fully open positions.
NOTE:
Shift to forward to check the operation of the
throttle grip.
3. Check:
• Steering operation for proper friction.
• Tiller handle for stretched cables by tilt-
ing the handle up and down.
DYNAMIC CHECK
CAUTION:
The engine must be started to check the
operation of the tiller handle. Therefore, be
sure to supply cooling water to the engine.
Standard condition:
• Lock plate is installed to the engine stop
lanyard switch.
• Shift position is in neutral.
• Key is inserted into the start switch, in the
OFF position.
• Throttle grip is fully closed.
