10. Adjust:
• Shift cable joint position
Adjustment steps:
• Align the center of the set pin or mark a
with the mark b on the bracket c.
• Set the shift lever 1 to the neutral posi-
tion.
• Adjust the position of the shift cable joint
until it aligns with the set pin.
WARNING
The shift cable joint must be screwed in
at least 8.0 mm (0.31 in).
• Install the shift cable joint 2 onto the set
pin d.
• Install the clip 3 and tighten the locknut

11. Check:
• Shift operation
Unsmooth operation → Adjust.
Checking steps:
• Turn the throttle grip to the fully closed
position.
• Check the shift lever for smooth operation
by shifting the lever from neutral to forward
and reverse.
