Making calls with VoIP and the fixed line network
Calling Line Identification
Display when Calling Line Identification is withheld
The caller's name and/or number will not be displayed if the caller has suppressed Calling
Line Identification:
u
VoIP: The caller has activated the "anonymous calling" function.
u
Fixed line network: The caller has activated the "anonymous calling" function or has sup-
pressed Calling Line Identification from his fixed line network provider.
The following is displayed in place of the number:
u
For calls to one of your VoIP numbers (example):
IP:Unavailable
Anonymous
for IP1
Accept
u
For calls to your fixed line network numbers:
– External, if no number is transmitted.
– Withheld, if the caller has withheld Calling Line Identification.
– Unavailable, if the caller has not arranged Calling Line Identification.
VoIP: Displaying the called party's phone number (COLP)
Preconditions:
u
Your VoIP provider supports COLP (Connected Line Identification Presentation). You
may have to ask your provider to activate COLP (contact your VoIP provider for more
information).
u
The called party has not activated COLR (Connected Line Identification Restriction).
For outgoing VoIP calls, the phone number of the connection on which the call is received
is displayed on the handset.
The displayed number may differ from the number you have dialled. Examples:
u
The called party has activated call forwarding.
u
The call is answered by another connection within a PABX system.
If there is an entry in the directory for this phone number, the corresponding name will be
displayed.
Please note:
– The number of the connection you have reached (or the assigned name) will also be displayed
instead of the called number during toggling, conference calls and consultation calls.
– When the phone number is copied to the directory
number redial list, the dialled number (not the displayed number) is copied.
