To change the setting
Start over from step 1.
If you made a mistake, press N and return to
the point you want to change, then change
the setting.
To set/check the timer
1 Press REC.
2 Turn MULTI CONTROLLER to select ON
(set) or OFF (cancel), then press
ENTER/YES.
Each time you press ENTER/YES, the set
timer numbers appear in order. Turn each
timer ON or OFF.
To cancel all timer operations at

Press REC to turn off the REC indicator.
"TIMER OFF" appears and all set timer
operations are canceled.

Tip
When you record from the radio, the Station Name
(see page 69, or the frequency if the station is not
labeled) is recorded on the MD along with the start
and stop times.
Notes
• When you record a long program on multiple
MDs (if you selected "to MD DISC ALL" at step
12), the sound will not be recorded while the
system is switching MDs. If all the program
cannot fit on MD 1, recording starts automatically
from the next MD. Be sure to insert a recordable
MD (MDs) beforehand and remove any unwanted
MDs from the slots.
• Do not operate the system from the time the
power turns on until the recording starts (about
one minute). If you do so, the timer may not
operate correctly.
• If the timer-on and -off settings are the same,
"OFF TIME NG !" appears and the cursor returns
to the timer-off setting. Change the time to turn
off.
• When you use a brand new MD to record, the first
30 seconds will not be recorded.
• If the power is on two minutes before the preset
time, the timer-recording may not be activated.
Make sure you finish the settings at least two
minutes before the preset time, then turn off the
system.
• The volume is reduced to minimum during
recording.
