Monaural recording

You can make a monaural recording of the
stereo signal input to the MD deck.

Press MENU/NO while the MD
deck is stopped, then turn
SELECTOR until "Mono Rec ?"
appears.

Press ENTER/YES.

Press REC 1 – 3 for the slot number
containing the recordable MD, and
set the MD deck to recording
standby.

Press ·∏ on the MD deck (or
MD P
on the remote).
Recording starts.
To stop recording
Press p on the MD deck.

To cancel monaural recording
1 Press MENU/NO while the MD deck is
stopped, then turn SELECTOR until
"Stereo Rec ?" appears.
2 Press ENTER/YES.
Tips
• The MONO indicator lights up during monaural
recording.
• The MD recording time for monaural recording is
roughly double that for stereo recording.
• The recording mode is factory set to stereo
recording. When you stop monaural recording,
the setting returns to stereo recording. (The setting
is not backed up.)
Note
If you set monaural recording while recording a
stereo broadcast or other source, the monitor sound
remains in stereo.
