4 Configuration
The following parameters for the Ethernet or WLAN interface can only be accessed via the web interface:

Meaning
Printer name for identification in the network
Service for printing on the network  "2.1.1" on page 6.
 Select a predefined port address.
Activation of the network printing service LPD  "2.1.1" on
page 6:
 Set parameter to "On".
 Typically activate the queue name "lp". Several print
spoolers work without queue name.
Activation of the LPD queue name
Data exchange between printer and management station via
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). To activate:
 Set parameter to "On".
 Assign the "Community" parameter the value "public".
Activation of the protocol SOAP (Simple Object Access
Protocol)
Activation of a service to synchronize date and time of the
printer.
IP address of the time server
Meaning
Password to protect certain parameters and functions accessible by
the control panel.
Password for parameter setting via the web interface
 Logon as admin
Password for FTP printing
 Logon as ftpprint
Password for FTP access to storage devices (USB stick, IFFS)
