Login

Use the Login page to:
Log in to the SyncServer's web interface.
n
Recover lost passwords.
n
View and configure the system status. Use the ADMIN - Web (on page 55) page to con-
n
figure the status information on the Login page.
The Login page includes the following elements:
Username: Enter the username here. (Factory default: "admin")
n
Password: Enter the corresponding password here. (Factory default: "symmetricom")
n
Secure: Opens an encrypted web session (HTTPS, port 443). For this feature to be avail-
n
able, the user must enable it by using the SERVICES - HTTP page.
Recover Password: Prompts the user to answer a password recovery question. If the user
n
answers correctly, the SyncServer resets the password to a random string and emails it
to the user's email address. For this feature to be available, the user must enable it using
the ADMIN - Users or WIZARDS - 1st Setup pages. Enabling this feature requires:
Selecting and giving an answer to a recovery question.

Providing an email address
n
Providing SMTP Gateway configuration settings.

Usernames
Quantity & Length
There is an upper limit of 32 individual users, each username has a maximum of 32 char-
acters in length.
Character set (Charset)
Each username is limited to the following printable ASCII characters:
Upper case letters {A-Z}
n
Lower case letters {a-z}
n
Numbers {0-9}
n
Period {.}
n
Dash {-}
n
Underscore {_}
n
Plus {+}
n
Usernames may NOT contain any of the following:
